Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 450 F.

  2. Combine honey, yeast, and warm water in a small bowl; let stand 10 minutes until frothy.

  3. Whisk flour and salt in a large bowl, then add the yeast mixture and stir until a dough ball forms.

  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5 minutes until smooth and elastic.

  5. Place the dough ball in a lightly floured bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled.

  6. Punch down the risen dough on a lightly floured surface.

  7. Roll the dough into a 12-inch circle, transfer to an oiled baking sheet, top, and bake for 10-13 minutes until golden.
