Instructions

  1. Heat and spray your waffle iron.

  2. Whisk whole-wheat flour, all-purpose flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl.

  3. In a separate bowl, combine milk, egg, and oil.

  4. Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.

  5. Gently fold blueberries into the batter using a spatula.

  6. Add 1/4 cup or more batter to each waffle iron compartment and cook until lightly browned and crisp.

  7. Repeat with remaining batter and serve waffles warm.
