Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 F and prepare a baking sheet with nonstick spray or parchment paper.

  2. Beat softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar in a medium bowl until smooth and fluffy.

  3. Add egg and vanilla, then beat until fully combined.

  4. In a separate large bowl, combine oats, flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.

  5. Mix the butter-sugar mixture into the oat-flour mixture until just combined.

  6. Stir in chocolate chips.

  7. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them 2 inches apart.

  8. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the cookie edges are slightly brown.
