Preheat the oven to 350 F and prepare a baking sheet with nonstick spray or parchment paper.

Beat softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar in a medium bowl until smooth and fluffy.

Add egg and vanilla, then beat until fully combined.

In a separate large bowl, combine oats, flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.

Mix the butter-sugar mixture into the oat-flour mixture until just combined.

Stir in chocolate chips.

Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them 2 inches apart.
