Loaded Pizza Pasta Casserole

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 F and lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking pan.

  2. Cook pasta in salted boiling water according to package directions, then drain.

  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat, sauté mushrooms until golden brown, then remove and set aside.

  4. Add ground beef and onion to the skillet; cook, stirring, until the onion is translucent.

  5. Stir in bell pepper and garlic, cooking until beef is no longer pink, then drain excess grease if needed.

  6. Add basil, oregano, crushed red pepper, pizza sauce, tomatoes, olives, pepperoni, and the sautéed mushrooms; simmer, then season with salt and pepper to taste.

  7. Mix the beef and pepperoni sauce with the drained pasta until thoroughly combined.

  8. Spoon half of the pasta mixture into the prepared baking dish, top with half of the cheese, then repeat layers with the remaining pasta and cheese.

  9. Bake for 25 to 35 minutes, until hot, bubbly, and the cheese is melted.
