Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and spray a 9x5 inch loaf pan.

  2. Combine flour, poppy seeds, baking soda, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl.

  3. In a separate bowl, whisk sugar and egg, then stir in milk, sour cream, oil, lemon zest, lemon juice, and lemon extract.

  4. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.

  5. Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 50 to 60 minutes.

  6. Bake until a skewer inserted into the center comes out clean; cool in the pan for 10 minutes.

  7. Remove from pan and cool completely on a wire rack.

  8. For the drizzle, combine powdered sugar, melted butter, and lemon juice in a bowl, stirring to achieve desired consistency.

  9. Drizzle glaze over the cooled loaf and allow to set before slicing.
