Instructions

  1. Scrub, rinse, and thoroughly dry the lemon.

  2. Carefully remove the yellow zest in long strips, ensuring no bitter white pith is included.

  3. Gently warm the lemon zest and olive oil in a small saucepan over medium heat for approximately 10 minutes, preventing it from simmering or bubbling.

  4. Remove the pan from heat and allow the zest to steep as the oil cools completely.

  5. Strain the lemon zest out of the cooled oil and transfer the infused oil into a clean, sealable container.

  6. Store the lemon-infused oil in the refrigerator.
