Instructions

  1. Preheat the broiler to 500 F. Oil a broiler pan rack and position it 4 inches from the heat source; heat until very hot.

  2. In a small bowl, combine melted butter, lemon juice, and soy sauce.

  3. Place tilapia fillets on a dish, sprinkle with garlic powder, then pour the butter mixture over them. Turn to coat thoroughly and let marinate for 10 minutes.

  4. Carefully arrange the marinated fish on the hot broiler pan. Broil for 3 to 5 minutes per side, depending on thickness, or until the fish flakes easily; do not turn fillets thinner than 1/2-inch.

  5. Once cooked, sprinkle the fillets with paprika and serve.
