Start cooking rice according to package directions.

Melt butter in a large skillet, then add curry powder and stir for 2 minutes.

Add chopped onion and cook until soft and translucent.

Pour in chicken broth and pineapple, mixing until no clumps remain. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes.
