Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350F and lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.

  2. Heat 2 teaspoons vegetable oil in a large skillet, then brown 1 pound ground beef, seasoned with salt and pepper, breaking it apart until no longer pink.

  3. While the beef cooks, spread 1 to 1 1/4 cups marinara sauce in the baking dish and top with a single layer of 16 to 20 cheese ravioli.

  4. Drain excess fat from the beef, then stir in the remaining marinara sauce to form a meat sauce.

  5. Layer half the meat sauce over the ravioli, then sprinkle with 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella and 1/4 cup grated parmesan.

  6. Repeat the layering with the remaining ravioli, meat sauce, mozzarella, and parmesan.

  7. Cover the baking dish tightly with foil and bake for 50 minutes.

  8. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 to 15 minutes, until the cheese is melted and golden brown.

  9. Let the casserole rest for 15 minutes before serving.
