Instructions
-
Preheat the oven to 350F and lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
-
Heat 2 teaspoons vegetable oil in a large skillet, then brown 1 pound ground beef, seasoned with salt and pepper, breaking it apart until no longer pink.
-
While the beef cooks, spread 1 to 1 1/4 cups marinara sauce in the baking dish and top with a single layer of 16 to 20 cheese ravioli.
-
Drain excess fat from the beef, then stir in the remaining marinara sauce to form a meat sauce.
-
Layer half the meat sauce over the ravioli, then sprinkle with 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella and 1/4 cup grated parmesan.
-
Repeat the layering with the remaining ravioli, meat sauce, mozzarella, and parmesan.
-
Cover the baking dish tightly with foil and bake for 50 minutes.
-
Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 to 15 minutes, until the cheese is melted and golden brown.
-
Let the casserole rest for 15 minutes before serving.
