Layered Shipwreck Casserole With Ground Beef

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 300 F (150 C) and butter a 2 1/2-quart baking dish.

  2. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat, then brown the ground beef until no longer pink.

  3. Layer onions and browned ground beef in the prepared dish, lightly seasoning each layer with salt, pepper, and paprika. Add layers of sliced potatoes, rice, carrots, and celery.

  4. Combine tomato soup with boiling water and pour over the casserole.

  5. Cover the dish and bake for 3 hours.
