Lasagne alla Mozzarella (Mozzarella Lasagna)
A simple and delicious mozzarella lasagna that comes together quickly using no-boil pasta sheets.

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 400 F (200 C) and butter a rectangular baking dish.

Prepare besciamella sauce: Melt butter in a heavy-bottomed pan, whisk in flour until golden brown (3-5 minutes), then slowly add milk, whisking constantly until blended. Season with salt and pepper.

In a bowl, combine tomato sauce with finely chopped garlic and basil. Thinly slice the mozzarella.

In the prepared baking dish, layer pasta, followed by a thin layer of tomato sauce, then mozzarella, salt, and pepper. Repeat this process until all ingredients are used, finishing with a final layer of pasta.

Sprinkle grated Parmigiano over the top of the lasagna, then evenly pour the prepared besciamella sauce over it.

Bake for 15 minutes, then cover with parchment paper and bake for an additional 20 minutes. Allow to cool slightly before cutting and serving.
