Lamb Meatballs With Tzatziki Sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat the broiler.

  2. Combine lamb, red onion, garlic, egg, bread crumbs, cumin, mayonnaise, mint, and salt; mix thoroughly. Form into 24 meatballs using a teaspoon.

  3. Lightly oil a baking sheet and arrange meatballs 2 inches apart. Position the sheet 4 inches from the heat source.

  4. Broil for 5 minutes, turning once halfway through.

  5. Arrange meatballs on a platter, squeeze lemon juice over them, and sprinkle with cayenne pepper. Serve immediately with tzatziki.

  6. For the tzatziki, combine cucumber, olive oil, lemon juice, lemon zest, salt, mint, and dill in a bowl; mix well. Stir in Greek yogurt.

  7. Cover and chill tzatziki for 2-3 hours before serving.
