Instructions

  1. Wash and thoroughly dry the okra, then remove the top stem and slice each lengthwise into thin pieces.

  2. Heat 1 inch of oil in a deep skillet to 350°F.

  3. Combine the sliced okra in a large bowl with all dry ingredients except salt.

  4. Deep-fry the okra in small batches until crisp, draining them on paper towels and immediately seasoning with salt.

  5. Garnish with lime juice and serve with plain boiled rice and your favorite daal.
