Preheat the oven to broil.

Spread rice on a cookie sheet in a 1/8 to 1/4 inch thick layer.

Roast rice in the oven, not too close to the broiler, for 5 to 10 minutes per side until brown and crisp.

To make tea, steep 2 teaspoons of roasted rice in a cup of boiling water for a few minutes.
