Instructions

  1. In a large pot, stir-fry cabbage with soy sauce, garlic, sesame oil, and chili flakes over medium heat until transparent.

  2. Add water or broth, bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer and stir in chili pepper paste.

  3. Add brisket and return soup to a simmer.

  4. Slowly stream in beaten egg.

  5. After 15 minutes, add noodles and cook for 4 minutes.

  6. Season with salt, garnish with scallions if desired, and serve.
