Korean Noodles With Black Bean Sauce Recipe

Instructions

  1. Boil water for noodles according to package instructions.

  2. Heat oil in a large skillet or wok, then sauté pork and potatoes for 2-3 minutes.

  3. Add onion and zucchini, continuing to sauté for another 2-3 minutes.

  4. Stir in bean paste, sesame oil, sugar, and garlic; sauté the mixture for 3-4 minutes.

  5. Pour in 6 cups of water and carrots, bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer.

  6. Mix cornstarch with 1/2 cup cold water.

  7. Stir the cornstarch mixture into the simmering sauce to thicken, cooking for 15 minutes until vegetables are tender.

  8. Cook and drain the noodles, then place a large portion into soup bowls.

  9. Ladle the black bean sauce over the noodles.

  10. Serve with a side of sliced raw onions and white vinegar.
