Polish poppy seed noodles, known as kluski z makiem, are a traditional dish served for Christmas Eve dinner.

Instructions

Boil poppy seeds with milk in a large saucepan, then cover and let them steep for 12 hours.

Drain the steeped poppy seeds thoroughly, then grind them twice.

Combine the ground poppy seeds with honey, raisins, nuts, and optional orange peel; warm this mixture in a saucepan.

Mix warm egg noodles with 2 tablespoons of butter and the heated poppy seed mixture.
