Preheat the oven to 350 F.

In a Dutch oven, sauté onion in butter until translucent, then add sauerkraut and cook over medium-low for 15 minutes, stirring frequently.

Stir cooked noodles and undrained mushrooms into the sauerkraut mixture; adjust seasonings as needed.

Transfer the mixture to a greased casserole dish and bake for 45 minutes, or until the top begins to brown.
