Kheer (Indian Rice Pudding) Recipe
A creamy, cardamom-spiced rice pudding, also known as kheer, enriched with nuts for a delightful dessert.

Instructions

Wash and soak rice in water for 30 minutes.

In a large saucepan, bring milk, sweetened condensed milk, and sugar to a boil.

Add the soaked rice, reduce heat to low, and simmer for 1 to 1.5 hours, stirring occasionally, until the milk thickens and reduces by half.

Stir in almonds, raisins, and cardamom; cook for 5 more minutes.

Remove from heat, add saffron, and stir thoroughly.

Serve warm, at room temperature, or chilled; garnish with rose petals if desired.
