Kentucky Bourbon Balls

Instructions

  1. Combine 1 cup vanilla wafer crumbs, 1 cup finely chopped pecans, 1 cup confectioners' sugar, and 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder.

  2. Blend 1/4 cup bourbon and 2 tablespoons light corn syrup in a separate bowl.

  3. Stir the bourbon mixture into the dry ingredients.

  4. Cover and chill the mixture in the refrigerator for 2 to 3 hours.

  5. Sift 1/2 to 1 cup confectioners' sugar into a shallow bowl, then wet hands with cold water.

  6. Shape small portions of the chilled mixture into balls and roll them in the sifted confectioners' sugar.

  7. Serve immediately or refrigerate in covered containers for up to 2 weeks.
