Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 F and line a baking sheet with foil, then spray it lightly.

  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet, cook chopped onion until tender and browned, then add minced garlic and cook for 2 more minutes before removing from heat.

  3. In a bowl, combine ground turkey, breadcrumbs, cilantro, lemon or lime juice, egg, Creole seasoning, salt, pepper, and the cooked onion and garlic mixture; mix until well blended.

  4. Form the mixture into 8 (4 3/4-ounce) burgers and place them on the prepared baking pan.

  5. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the burgers are cooked through and no longer pink inside.

  6. Serve the burgers on buns with preferred toppings.
