Japanese Miso and Honey Glazed Pork

Instructions

  1. Combine miso, sugar, honey, minced garlic, ginger, and sesame oil in a bowl, mixing thoroughly. Optionally, incorporate salt, pepper, and chopped green onion or chives, reserving some for garnish.

  2. If using thick pork loin, cut slices horizontally to thin. Generously brush each pork slice with the prepared miso sauce, stack them, and marinate for 20 to 30 minutes.

  3. Sear the pork in a nonstick pan over high heat until it is cooked and the sauce has slightly browned.

  4. Serve the miso pork with green leafy lettuce or shungiku, using the greens to wrap the meat.
