Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 F (180 C).

  2. Combine flour and butter in a bowl until crumbly; add yeast, salt, and sugar, then stir.

  3. Mix milk with whisked eggs, then combine with caraway seeds in the bowl, stirring to form a sticky dough.

  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 6-8 minutes.

  5. Place dough in a covered bowl and let rise until doubled, about 2 hours.

  6. On a floured surface, flatten dough, cut into 12 pieces, and roll each into a ball; arrange on a prepared baking sheet.

  7. Cover the buns with a damp cloth and let rise for another 30-45 minutes.

  8. Brush risen buns with glaze and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.

  9. Transfer baked buns to a cooling rack; while warm, brush with milk and sugar coating, then sprinkle with caraway seeds and sugar bits.
