Jamaica Hibiscus Margarita

Instructions

Start boiling water.

Add hibiscus flowers and sugar, stirring for 1 minute until dissolved.

Pour the mixture into a noncorrosive bowl and steep for 20 minutes to 2 hours.

Strain the liquid, pressing solids to extract maximum liquid; adjust taste with water for potency or sugar for tartness, then refrigerate.

Combine tequila, prepared agua de jamaica, simple syrup, and lime juice in an ice-filled cocktail shaker.
