Jack Daniel's Flank Steak

A tender and flavorful steak is achieved by marinating flank steak in a whiskey-based mixture.

Instructions

  1. Preheat grill to medium-high.

  2. Score the flank steak 1/8-inch deep in a diamond pattern.

  3. Combine garlic, mustard, oil, whiskey, salt, and pepper in a small bowl.

  4. Place steak in a resealable bag, pour marinade over it, seal, and refrigerate for 8-24 hours.

  5. Remove steak from bag; discard marinade.

  6. Grill steak 6-7 minutes per side, brushing with butter occasionally.

  7. Remove from grill when desired doneness is reached; let rest 5 minutes.

  8. Slice across the grain into strips and serve.
