Instant Pot Shepherd's Pie
A hearty shepherd's pie can be quickly prepared in an Instant Pot, requiring only 10 minutes of active cooking time.

Using the Instant Pot's sauté setting, cook lamb and onions, stirring, until the meat loses its pink color.

Stir in garlic, rosemary, and parsley; sauté for 1 minute.

Cancel sauté. Add carrots and beef stock to the pot.

Place potatoes in a steamer basket on top of the mixture.

Secure the lid, set vent to "sealing," and pressure cook on high for 3 minutes.

Perform a quick pressure release.

Remove potatoes. Add peas and gravy mix to the Instant Pot; sauté until thickened.

While the filling thickens, mash potatoes with 2 tablespoons butter and milk; season.

Preheat the broiler.

Transfer thickened filling to a 1 1/2-quart baking dish.

Evenly spread mashed potatoes over the filling. Brush with remaining 1 tablespoon melted butter and sprinkle with paprika.

Broil until the potato topping is browned.
