Instant Pot Chili Recipe

Instructions

  1. Turn on the Instant Pot's sauté function and heat oil. Add onions and cook for 3 minutes until softened, then add garlic and cook for 30 seconds more.

  2. Add ground beef and cook for 5 minutes until browned, draining any excess fat.

  3. Pour in beef broth, scraping the pot's bottom to loosen bits. Layer the beans, seasonings, tomatoes, and tomato sauce without stirring.

  4. Secure the Instant Pot lid, set the vent to sealing, and pressure cook on high for 15 minutes.

  5. Perform a quick release of pressure, then switch to simmer. Cook uncovered for 5 to 10 minutes, stirring frequently until the chili thickens.

  6. Serve the chili with desired toppings.
