Instructions

  1. Wash rice by swirling it in water in the Instant Pot, then drain using a mesh sieve.

  2. Return the washed rice to the Instant Pot. Add the specified water, and optional salt or fat.

  3. Secure the Instant Pot lid and set the steam valve to "sealing."

  4. Pressure cook on high for 22 minutes, followed by a 10-minute natural pressure release.

  5. Manually release any remaining pressure, then stir and serve the rice.
