Instructions

  1. Preheat a countertop grill or grill pan to medium-high (about 3750F).

  2. Combine ground meat, egg, Worcestershire sauce, molasses, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a large bowl.

  3. Divide the mixture into four equal portions and form each into a patty with a thumb dimple in the center.

  4. Grill patties about 6 minutes per side until cooked through (1600F internal temperature).

  5. Optionally, top burgers with cheese and melt by covering the grill or briefly broiling.

  6. Remove burgers and keep warm; then, toast bun halves cut-side down on the hot grill until golden.

  7. Serve burgers on toasted buns with desired condiments.
