Indian Kofta Curry

Instructions

  1. Combine minced beef, chopped onions, garlic and ginger pastes, garam masala, tomato ketchup, coriander, and salt in a bowl; mix thoroughly.

  2. Form the mixture into uniform meatballs.

  3. Heat oil in a pan, then fry the remaining chopped onions until light brown.

  4. Add ginger and garlic pastes, frying for 1 minute.

  5. Stir in all powdered spices (coriander, cumin, red chili powder, garam masala, turmeric) and cook for 2-3 minutes.

  6. Incorporate the tomatoes, mix well, and continue frying until the oil separates.

  7. Pour in warm water, season with salt, and carefully place the meatballs into the gravy without stirring for 5 minutes.

  8. Gently stir and cook uncovered for about 10 minutes until meatballs are done, adjusting gravy consistency as desired.

  9. Serve with jeera rice and kachumbar salad.
