Hungarian Cabbage With Noodles (Káposztás Tészta)

Melt butter in a large pot over medium heat.

Add onion and several handfuls of cabbage; increase heat to medium-high.

Sauté the vegetables, adding more cabbage as it wilts, until golden brown and tender (about 30 minutes). Season with salt and pepper.

Remove from heat, add cooked noodles, and toss to coat in the mixture.

Adjust seasonings, rewarm on low heat if necessary, then divide into bowls and serve hot.
