Instructions

  1. Start boiling 10 cups of water in a large saucepan with meat and all vegetables except tomatoes.

  2. Once boiling, stir in tomatoes and tomato paste.

  3. Add chickpeas, spices, and lemon juice, then stir.

  4. Reduce heat to low and simmer, covered, for 30 to 35 minutes until the meat and chickpeas are cooked through.
