How to Make Homemade Sloe Gin

Instructions

Rinse sloes and prepare them by either pricking each or freezing overnight to split the skin.

Dissolve sugar in the alcohol of choice.

Loosely fill large jars with the prepared sloes.

Pour the alcohol-sugar mixture over the sloes, seal the jars, and store in a cool, dark place.

Shake the jars every few days for up to two months, or longer for best results.

Strain the liqueur, taste, and add additional sugar if desired.
