How to Make Fresh Ginger Tea at Home

Instructions

  1. Start boiling 4 cups of water in a 1 1/4-quart pot.

  2. Peel and thinly slice 2 tablespoons of fresh ginger root.

  3. Add the sliced ginger to the boiling water and continue to boil for 10 to 20 minutes, depending on desired strength.

  4. Remove the pot from heat, strain the tea, then stir in 1 tablespoon of fresh lime or lemon juice and 1 to 2 tablespoons of honey to taste.
