How to Freeze Fresh Peppers

Instructions

  1. Discard peppers with mold or soft spots.

  2. Wash and thoroughly dry the remaining peppers.

  3. Halve the peppers, remove seeds and stems.

  4. Slice peppers to your preferred size and shape.

  5. Pat sliced peppers dry to prevent freezer burn.

  6. Spread pepper pieces in a single layer on a baking sheet and freeze for at least 12 hours to prevent clumping.

  7. Transfer frozen peppers to heavy-duty freezer bags, remove air, seal, and label with the processing date.

  8. Store bags in the coldest part of the freezer.
