How to Cut a Papaya

A guide on selecting, cutting, and serving fresh papaya.

Instructions

  1. Cut the papaya in half lengthwise on a cutting board.

  2. Separate the halves and scrape out the seeds with a spoon.

  3. Eat directly from the fruit half, or scoop out balls using a melon or ice cream scoop.

  4. Alternatively, peel the fruit using a knife or vegetable peeler, then slice it into wedges or cubes.
