Hot and Spicy Baked Chicken Drumettes or Wings

Crispy, spicy baked chicken wings are perfect as a snack or entree, coated in a flavorful sauce.

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 F. Line a baking sheet with foil and spray with nonstick spray.

  2. In a bag, combine 3 tablespoons hot sauce, vegetable oil, salt, pepper, and garlic powder; add chicken drumettes and toss to coat.

  3. In a separate bag or bowl, add flour, then add the coated chicken, shaking to thoroughly coat each piece. Arrange wings on the prepared baking sheet.

  4. Bake the wings for 30 minutes, then flip and bake for another 30 minutes until crispy.

  5. While wings bake, combine butter, 1/2 cup hot sauce, cayenne pepper, vinegar, and Worcestershire sauce in a small saucepan. Heat over medium until butter melts and the mixture simmers, then remove from heat.

  6. Transfer baked wings to a large bowl, pour the prepared hot sauce over them, and toss to coat.

  7. Serve the wings with your choice of dips and celery sticks.
