Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325 F.

  2. Place a 6 to 7-pound fully cooked, spiral-sliced ham, cut side down, in a heavy roasting pan and cover tightly with heavy-duty foil.

  3. Roast the ham for 10 to 14 minutes per pound, or until an internal temperature of 145 F is reached.

  4. While the ham roasts, combine 1 cup brown sugar, 1/2 cup honey, 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard, 2 minced garlic cloves, and 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves.

  5. Remove the ham from the oven, carefully remove the foil, and increase the oven temperature to 400 F.

  6. Spoon and spread the prepared glaze evenly over the ham.

  7. Return the ham to the 400 F oven and roast for an additional 10 to 20 minutes, or until the glaze is thick and sticky.

  8. Remove the ham, let it rest for 5 minutes, then serve.
