Honey Garlic Pork Meatballs

Preheat the oven to 400 F and line a baking sheet with foil, spraying lightly with nonstick spray.

In a bowl, combine 1 pound ground pork, 1 beaten large egg, 1/4 cup breadcrumbs, 2 tablespoons chopped cilantro (optional), 2 chopped green onions, 1 clove chopped garlic, 1 teaspoon salt, and pepper to taste; mix thoroughly.

Shape the mixture into 1-inch meatballs and arrange them on the prepared baking sheet.

Bake for 15-20 minutes until cooked through and no longer pink.

While meatballs bake, melt 2 teaspoons unsalted butter in a saucepan over medium-low heat; add the remaining 3 cloves chopped garlic and cook for 1 minute.

Stir in 1/2 cup ketchup, 1/4 cup honey, 1 1/2 tablespoons soy sauce, and 1 teaspoon Sriracha or hot sauce (optional); bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 1 minute.

Toss the cooked meatballs with the sauce and serve immediately.
