Honey Beef With Sesame Seeds

Instructions

  1. Prepare bell peppers and celery by cutting into thin strips; rinse and drain mung bean sprouts.

  2. Slice flank steak into thin strips across the grain.

  3. Combine honey, soy sauce, water, green onion, and cornstarch for the marinade, then marinate the steak for 15 minutes.

  4. Mix oyster sauce, chicken broth, and sugar for the sauce; set aside.

  5. Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a wok over medium-high heat, then brown and stir-fry the beef until nearly cooked; remove beef from wok.

  6. Add 2 more tablespoons of oil to the wok.

  7. Stir-fry garlic and ginger until fragrant.

  8. Add green pepper and celery, stir-fry briefly, then add red pepper.

  9. Push vegetables to the sides, add sauce to the center, heat briefly, then stir in a cornstarch-water mixture until thickened.

  10. Return steak to the wok, add mung bean sprouts, mix all ingredients, and sprinkle with sesame seeds before serving.
