Homemade Velveeta Cheese and Cheez Whiz

Instructions

  1. For Processed Cheese Block: Start boiling water. Line a small loaf pan with plastic wrap. Blend gelatin, milk powder, and salt. Add boiling water and pulse a few times. Quickly add cheddar cheese and process until smooth. Pour mixture into the lined pan, smooth, cover, and refrigerate several hours or overnight. Slice, then wrap and store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.

  2. For Creamy Cheese Spread: Simmer evaporated milk. Combine cheese, cream cheese, dry mustard, and salt in a blender. Add simmering milk and process until smooth. Pour into a jar; use warm or refrigerate. To thin, add hot milk or cream. Store in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
