Instructions
-
Preheat the oven to 450 F with a large nonstick sheet tray inside.
-
Combine flour, yeast, and salt in a large bowl. Separately, stir warm water and olive oil.
-
Form a well in the dry ingredients; pour in the liquid mixture and blend until combined.
-
Flour a work surface and hands, then knead the dough for 15 minutes until soft and elastic.
-
Lightly oil the mixing bowl, return the dough, cover, and let it rise in a warm place for 30-45 minutes until doubled.
-
While the dough rises, combine all topping ingredients in a large bowl and set aside.
-
On a floured surface, divide the risen dough into 6 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a very thin round or oval.
-
Spread the prepared topping thinly and evenly over each dough round.
-
Carefully transfer the lahmacun onto the preheated sheet tray, ensuring no overlap.
-
Bake for 7-10 minutes, until the topping sizzles and dough edges are browned.
-
Serve hot with lemon wedges and sliced onions mixed with sumac and parsley.
