Instructions

  1. Whisk together all specified ingredients for the self-rising cornmeal mix until thoroughly blended; store in a sealed container.

  2. Preheat the oven to 425 F (220 C).

  3. Grease a 10-inch iron skillet, an 8-inch square baking pan, a corn stick pan, or a muffin pan; heat iron pans in the preheated oven.
