Instructions

  1. Divide raspberries evenly into two quart jars, then add 1/2 cup sugar to each, shake to coat, and macerate for 30 minutes.

  2. Pour 1 1/2 cups vodka into each jar, seal, and shake periodically until the sugar fully dissolves.

  3. Store the sealed jars in a cool, dark place for two weeks, shaking every 1-2 days.

  4. Strain the liqueur through a fine-mesh strainer lined with cheesecloth, repeating 2-3 times to remove all sediment.

  5. Funnel the finished raspberry liqueur into two 16-ounce or four 8-ounce bottles, then seal and store in a cool, dark place.
