Instructions

  1. Combine pork, brown sugar, salt, pepper, thyme, sage, allspice, nutmeg, onion powder, cayenne pepper, and red pepper flakes in a large bowl; mix until blended.

  2. Form the mixture into eight 2-ounce, 1/2-inch thick patties.

  3. Heat oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat.

  4. Fry patties 7-9 minutes, flipping until golden and an internal temperature of 160 F is reached.

  5. Serve immediately.
