Instructions

Combine yeast, sugar, and 1 cup warm water in a large bowl; let sit for 10 minutes until foamy.

Stir in salt and olive oil. Gradually add flour, mixing until the dough pulls away from the bowl.

Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for 4 minutes until smooth.

Place the dough in an oiled bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place for 1 to 1.5 hours until doubled.

Punch down the dough, divide into 2 balls, and let rest for 15 minutes.

Shape each ball into a circle on a floured surface, rest for 10 minutes, then stretch to your desired size and thickness.
