Homemade Hot Cocoa With Marshmallows
An old-fashioned hot cocoa combines cocoa powder, milk, vanilla, and sugar, traditionally topped with mini marshmallows.

Instructions

Scald milk in a medium saucepan.

While the milk heats, blend cocoa and sugar in a small bowl.

Stir 1/3 cup of the hot milk into the cocoa-sugar mixture, then pour into the saucepan with the remaining hot milk.

Add vanilla and whisk until thoroughly blended.

Serve topped with mini marshmallows, optionally dusting with cocoa powder.
