Instructions

  1. Scald 1 quart of milk, then stir in 1/4 to 1/3 cup of your preferred sweetener.

  2. Optionally, incorporate 1 tablespoon of an extract (such as lemon or almond) or 1 teaspoon of ground spices (like cinnamon or ginger) for additional flavor.

  3. Add instant nonfat dry milk, cool the mixture to 110 F, and stir in the yogurt culture.

  4. Pour the mixture into warm containers, cover, and incubate for 5 to 10 hours.

  5. Cool the yogurt, then refrigerate.
