Homemade Caramel Syrup
A quick and easy four-ingredient caramel syrup for sweetening coffee, cocktails, or topping pancakes.

Instructions

In a small saucepan over low heat, combine sugar and 1/4 cup water.

Stir constantly for 8 to 10 minutes until sugar dissolves.

Increase heat to medium-high, cover, and boil for 3 minutes.

Remove from heat, then slowly stream in the remaining 1/4 cup water while stirring.

Stir in vanilla extract and salt.

Allow syrup to cool completely before transferring to a sealed container; store in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
