Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350F and line a large sheet pan with parchment paper.

Melt 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chunks and 4 tablespoons unsalted butter.

Whisk 1 cup granulated sugar into the melted chocolate mixture.

Incorporate 1 large egg, 2 large egg whites, and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract; whisk until combined.

Stir in 1/2 cup plus 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour, 3 tablespoons sifted Dutch-process cocoa powder, 1/4 teaspoon salt, and 1/4 teaspoon baking powder until smooth.
